Before the Islamic revolution of Iran these fields of wheat were under cultivation of opium poppy Much of central Iran is arid and the agriculture in this large area is really hard work
To cultivation of opium poppy doesn't require plenty of water but it is strictly forbidden in Iran
گندم زار- ماهان(كرمان)
اين مزارع در سال هاي پيش از انقلاب 1357 زير كشت خشخاش بوده است.
كشاورزان محلي معتقدند به دليل كم آبي مناطق كويري ايران
زمين هاي كشاورزي اين نواحي براي كشت هر محصولي مناسب نيست.
پيرمردان كشاورز ماهاني مي گويند در روزگاري كه كشت خشخاش آزاد بود در تمام ماهان تنها چند معتاد پيدا مي
شد اما حالا اكثر جوانان اينجا مواد مخدر استفاده مي كنند.

The small room where Nematollah Vali prayed and meditated contains beautiful tile decorations called CHELLEH-KHANEH and has a wonderfully peaceful feeling
